Not knowing if she wanted to dance or play basketball, she then entered the pageant industry and found her calling! Beginning her pageant streak in the Junior America system without taking home the crown, she then realized she had a challenge and decided to take another adventure in her young life. She attended Barbizon and John Casablancas Modeling School to obtain more experience with her modeling technique. Going on to compete in the American Coed Pageant system, she was encouraged to bring out the natural beauty and confidence that she had inside. Winning many titles and awards were ok but it was the priceless friendships and the growth in her self-esteem that kept her involved in pageantry. After the passing of her grandmother, Krystal decided to dedicate her service to the American Heart Association, assisting in many fundraisers and walks within the organization. Krystal received her Bachelors of Science in Public Relations from Illinois State University, where she continued her passion for dance and pageantrty through her leadership on her college dance troupe and her assistance with pageants held on her college campus. She is now a freelance publicist but she realized she still wanted to be involved in pageantry in some way.
