Pageantry 101
Pageantry is an industry that is misunderstood by most and could be confusing to say the least, but we are here to give you a better understanding of the industry we are passionate about! There are many different types of pageant competitions and not one is better than the other but all may not be perfect for you.
Natural Pageants
Natural Pageants are competitions that usually have three main categories: Introduction, Interview and Eveningwear. Girls that are under the age of 12 are not allowed to wear any makeup or hair extensions. This allows the girl to be herself and show her natural beauty. The wardrobe is pretty simple but you can add finishing touches to bring out the natural glamour of the girl.
Glitz Pageants
Glitz Pageants are the most glamorous competitions of them all. The main competition usually consist of: Beauty, Modeling Event and Interview. Any contestant regardless of their age are allowed to wear make up, hair extentions, flippers and very ornate and expensive attire.
Miss America... Miss USA... and Beyond for Women
She's beauty and she's grace! These are your true beauty pageant competitions for women ages 14+. The main competitions vary in these systems but usually consist of : Interview, Evening Wear, Swimsuit and Talent. There are usually local preliminary competitions for these systems in which the local queen will then go on to her state pageant and then on to the national competition.
Your involvement in pageantry gives you the open opportunity to participate in community service projects, build your self confidence, establish long-lasting friendships and most importantly provide with the tools
